Karl's Cheese Grits

I know. You don't think you like grits. Well, try these first before you make that decision.

4 c. chicken broth                           350 degree oven
1 c. "quick" grits (not instant)             30-40 minutes
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
   (or substitute your favorite cheese)
1 c. milk
2 large eggs, beaten
3/4 tsp. Tobasco sauce
1 large onion, chopped
4-5 cloves garlic
pepper to taste

Bring the broth to a boil. Add grits and cook according to package directions. Stir in the cheese and set aside. In a separate pan, saute onions and garlic. Add to grits. Stir in milk, eggs and Tobasco. Add pepper to taste. Pour into greased 13" x 9" pan. Bake 30 to 40 minutes in 350 degree oven. Let cool 10 minutes before serving (to set).
