Melodie's Heart-Attack Chicken

This recipe predates the Atkins diet, but if you leave out the onions, it would be the perfect Atkins dinner. It's melt-in-your-mouth yummy no matter what diet you're on.

1 package dried beef (like for creamed chipped beef)
8-10 chicken thighs (with skin on)
bacon (1 strip per chicken thigh)
salt
pepper                              350 degree oven
1 pint sour cream                   three hours
1 can cream of mushroom soup
one onion

Line bottom of appropriately-sized casserole with dried beef. Wrap each chicken thigh with a strip of raw bacon. Place thighs in pan. Mix together sour cream, soup, salt, pepper and pour over chicken. Top with onion slices.

Place in preheated oven, and let it bake and bake and bake. Drain grease off the top and serve.
