Hap's Egg Nog

This recipe is not for wimps. It is both rich and potent. It doesn't taste just right until it chills outside in a ceramic bowl on a cold, winter night.

12 eggs
1 c. rum
1 c. whiskey
1 pt. brandy
3 qt. milk
1 lb. sugar (approximately 2 c.)
1 qt. cream
1/2 tsp. salt
nutmeg

Separate eggs. Beat yolks until light. Gradually beat in sugar. Add slowly: Whiskey, brandy, rum, cream and milk, beating constantly. Whip egg whites in separate bowl until stiff. Fold egg whites into mixture. Chill outdoors in ceramic bowl. Sprinkle with nutmeg when serving.
